沖縄地方は昨晩からの雨が一日中続いてます。
正月明けから沖縄はいまいち天気もパッとしなく、また今年は明るくなるかと思ったらまた新型コロナのオミクロ株が各地で猛威を奮い初めて沖縄も毎日凄い感染者で暗い日々です。
店舗も早々と閉まってしまい街や車の影もどっと少なく観光客の姿もまばらです。

今回は沖縄で撮った写真がハワイの風景と似ている写真をハワイっぽく英語解説でピックアップしてみました。

どうでしたか〜沖縄ぽいよりHawaii🌺ぽいと思うのですが、そんな写真集めてみましたが沢山ありすぎで、わけ分からなくなってきました。

もうこの辺で英語で書いてるのも面倒くさくなって嫌になったのでこの辺でハワイのサーフビデオにチェンジです。笑

1977年 のサーフィン・ムービー「Many Classic Moments」のサウンド・トラックでハワイのロックグループカラパナが歌ってます。
映画は劇場よりも、公民館や公会堂などで上映されたことが多いので、当時、見た方には懐かしい歌ですね。私は東京の千代田区の九段会館で観ました。

えらい昔の写真です。
20代前半の初めてハワイに行った時に足にしていたフォードのピントワゴン。
ノースショアのサーフポイント裏のローカルにて。

当初、2週間の予定が外国銀行に勤務していた両親の都合でオアフに永住する事になった高校時の同級生の自宅にホテルから引っ越して3ヶ月滞在してサーフィン 三昧の日々。
その後、私自身が家庭持ってオアフに一時期に住むとはこの時は夢にも思って無かったですが人生って死ぬまでどうなるかは分かりませんね〜

この時の髪は肩までの長髪だった。笑

ハワイももう10年も行ってないと随分と変化しているんだろうなぁ〜
現地の友人に聞くと全く変わって無い場所も多いと言っていたが、もうこのコロナ禍で一生行けない様な気がする今日この頃です。

久しぶりに本場へ行ってフラダンスやポリネシアンダンスなんか観たいなぁ〜てところでHawaiianフラガールとHawaiianソングでおしまいです。
